Great old antique level! Produced by W. Marples & Sons, Sheffield, England, this fine old tool has a great design and style. It has solid wood construction with three chambers for leveling. Unfortunately, the only one still working is the center chamber, although the other two could be replaced. The brass plate in the center reads, "W. Marples & Sons. Sheffield Eng. Warranted Correct Patent No. 423896." The ends of the level have metal reinforcement edges that add to its function and form. A great find for those collecting older tools!
